Rakuten AI 7B Models Released

Rakuten Group Inc. has released three open-source Japanese large language models — Rakuten AI 7B (foundation model), Rakuten AI 7B Instruct, and Rakuten AI 7B Chat. RakutenAI-7B is a suite of Japanese-oriented LLMs that achieve the best performance on the Japanese LM Harness benchmarks among the open 7B models. Independent evaluations conducted for the Nejumi leaderboard have confirmed its competitive performance, even when compared against significantly larger models. This achievement is the culmination of the collective effort of numerous talented members of the Rakuten AI team, who are distributed across various geographical locations. Hugging Face Link.
